Tennis Magazine's Review
SALES PITCH
The flat, aerodynamic throat helps serious players get more racquet-head speed and action on their shots.

HOW IT TESTED
When we put the original Babolat AeroPro Drive through its paces in 2005, the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. Now the second incarnation of the racquet has arrived with the addition of Cortex, a vibration-dampening system in the shaft just above the handle. Other than that, the specs are identical and the on-court performance proves to be much the same. The aerodynamic beam and head-light balance allow baseliners to take a big cut, generating good power and spin while maintaining control. The racquet is very maneuverable at net, but most testers felt that the AeroPro Drive was more productive on ground strokes and kick serves. Cortex does make the frame a little more forgiving, which should appeal to players who found the first version to be a bit harsh when they missed the sweet spot.
BOTTOM LINE
It’s a great choice for aggressive baseliners who want to hit out on their strokes but maintain some margin for error.

Modular Technology is for a faster swing for a faster game!
New modular frame concept with High Modulus Graphite creates maximum penetration of the racquet through the air and increases the hitting power. Perfect control for directional hitting.
Players benefit:
-A faster swing
-Increased power while maintaining excellent ball control |

Cortex System is the first technology customized to filter different vibrations. For competitive players, Cortex filters vibrations for purer feel of the ball. For club players, Cortex gives maximum comfort when hitting.
Interface between the handle and the frame: These two parts of the racquet are actively linked by the CDS (Cortex Dampening System) which filters and dampens the vibrations interfering with feel, to enhance the feel of the ball. |

Babolat's patented
Woofer Technology is the first dynamic system which makes the frame and the strings interact when striking the ball.
The frame is basically static which holds the driving force of the racquet, the strings, in place. Conventional racquets have strings that are attached to the frame which limits the performance of said driving force. The strings in Babolat racquets are attached to both sides of the frame. Only some strings are active when struck by the ball.
