Aerogel 8 Hundred Tennis Racquet
New for 2008,
Dunlop’s Aerogel 800 will appeal to the player looking for the ultimate oversize (110 sq inch) racquet. This highly maneuverable racquet provides an exceptional level of comfort to go along with extra power and surprising control.
The Aerogel 800 is packed with all of Dunlop’s innovative racquet technologies, making this the envy of all racquets in this category. Aerogel is the world’s lightest solid, with a strength of up to 4,000 times its own weight. Dunlop uses this space-age material to enhance the strength, stability and power level of the racquet without increasing its weight. This racquet also features M-Fil, the unique 3D braided structure used at key points across the hitting zone to enhance the racquets touch and feel. The Aerogel 800 also has Dunlop’s new Aerobridge system. This technology features an injected molded polymer that helps soften string vibration, for a solid feel on impact. Lastly, this racquet includes Dunlop’s Vibrocore frame vibration dampening system. Located in the shaft of the racquet, Vibrocore dramatically reduces frame vibration after ball impact.
Vibracore Technology: Dramatically reduces frame vibrations. At ball impact, shock waves are absorbed into the shaft of the racquet into the silicone rubber core and are therefore not allowed to travel down to the handle. This significantly reduces the risk of tennis elbow and provides exceptional comfort.
Aerogel Technology: The world's lightest solid and has a strength of up to 4,000 its own weight. The three-dimensional nanometer-sized molecular network delivers an unmatched strength to weight ratio for enhanced stiffness and increased power. Combined with M-Fil (multi-filament) technology across the hitting zone to 'soften' ball impact, Aerogel frames deliver the perfect balance between power and control.
M-Fil Technology: A technology that incorporates a unique patented 3D braiding process. Carbon, S-fibre and magnesium are combined into the hitting zone of the racquet head to enhance the touch and feel of the racquet where and when you need it most - at the moment of ball contact.
