Fischer M Pro Number 1 98
No Tolerance Tennis Racquet (UL) Review
The Fischer M-Pro No. 1 98 UL is a lighter and more powerful alternative to the (pro) SL version used by touring pros Marcos Baghdatis and Anna Chakvetadze.
This control-oriented middleweight shares the same frame profile, string pattern, and almost all of the pro version's playing characteristics. It delivers the same spin friendly shot response, the same precision placement; the same excellent feedback for touch and angle shots.
Both versions of the M-Pro No. 1 require fast fluid swings to perform to their full potential. Fischer makes this easier with the UL version by reducing the strung weight to 11 ounces.
Although the swing weights of both versions are nearly identical, our intermediate play testers got a lot more game out of the lighter UL. Each of our 4.0 play testers consistently hit groundstrokes with more depth. Serves and overheads were stronger too. Some of our advanced play testers also favored friendlier persona of the lighter UL over the edge in stability provided by the (pro) SL version.
If you're looking at other hot selling precision middleweights like the Head Microgel Radical 98 or Novak Djokovic's Wilson nBlade 98, definitely make the time and effort to evaluate the Fischer M-Pro No. 1 98 UL. You might like the greater spin capability and the tactile communication that comes with the Fischer.
And if you're serious enough to want two or more frames that play the same, you will also appreciate Fischer's industry leading No Tolerance Guarantee. Fischer is the only company serious enough to refund your money if the frames you buy don't weigh the same. Even if you only buy one frame, we think you'll be impressed with build quality of Fischer's racquets.

MAGNETIC SPEED
With any racquet, when the ball hits the strings the racquet naturally deforms with the flanks of the racquet moving towards each other. Using Fischer’s unique Magnetic Speed System, unipolar magnets located in the 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock positions of the frame repel one another, enabling the racquet to revert to its original shape faster. As a result, the tennis ball is propelled from the string bed at an accelerated pace.
Magnetic Speed Technology:
Normally, when the ball impacts the string bed the racquet frame bows in on both sides, temporarily deforming the racquet. Most frames regain their shape soon after the ball leaves the strings. With Magnetic Speed, the frame reverts back to its original shape faster, creating a catapult effect that generates more pace than with traditional frames. Unipolar magnets placed on opposite sides of the head repel each other, snapping the frame back into its original shape at a much faster rate. M-Speed Technology helps the player generate more power than could be generated from competitor frames while maintaining playability and feel.
