Volkl Powerbridge 10 Tennis Racquet

At Volkl, 10 stands for ultimate and absolute tournament-level performance! Proof of this is provided by the new Powerbridge 10, a racket that demands a high level of ability from the player,  but anyone who has the skill will have the ultimate weapon in their hand. The precise control and incomparable feel for the ball which top players value are achieved by means of a flexible but very thin frame design. Thanks to DNX and Powerbridge, the racquet also guarantees maximum stability in the critical areas of the frame. The Powerbridge 10 is the racquet of choice for the best players in the Volkl international tennis team!

Volkl Powerbridge 10 Tennis Racquet Review

Tennis Magazine

Sales Pitch: A flexible frame for highly skilled players who demand precise control and excellent feel.

Compare To: Völkl DNX 10 MP

How It Tested: When you take a healthy cut on serves and ground strokes and hit the ball in the sweet spot of the Völkl Powerbridge 10, it feels great. But when you don’t, it won’t help you much. You need serious game to make this racquet work for you, and some of our more advanced playtesters really took to it. Völkl put DNX, a very strong carbon fiber, in the bridge of the frame (at 6 o’clock on the head) for increased stability and power. That, along with the hefty weight, gave the racquet stability. The head-light balance makes it maneuverable and the fl exibility provides nice feel, especially at net. One 4.5 baseliner said, “The racquet just seemed perfect for tough volleys. I really hit some incredible angles.” Others referred to the Powerbridge 10 as being “rock solid” at net, and providing “good punch.”

Bottom Line: Advanced all-courters who can hit the sweet spot and serve-and-volleyers will appreciate this racquet.

How does Powerbridge work?

The secret of POWERBRIDGE lies in two components. The first is the tried-and-tested DNX technology, which is now being used in the bridge of the racket head for the first time. Second, the designers at Völkl Tennis have succeeded in reducing the cross-section of the bridge without losing stability. The quantity of expansion resin which functions as the binding agent to bond the yoke to the rest of the frame to form a unit remains completely unchanged here. The only difference is the higher compaction of the matrix. In conjunction with the power features of DNX this compression produces an enormously solid composite material which optimizes the heart of the racket, thereby investing the entire racket with more power.
