Head Flexpoint Instinct Team Tennis Racquet

Head FXP Instinct Tennis Racquet Review
The Head Flexpoint FXP Instinct Team is a good choice for players who want as much control as they can find without giving up the power of a game improvement frame. This racquet bridges the path from the all out power of game improvement racquets to the 'tweener class. 'Tweener racquets typically offer a more even balance of power and control.

The FXP Instinct Team looks and swings like a 'tweener, but it has more power. The racquet produces power willingly with abbreviated medium-speed swings. Like many game improvement frames, fuller or faster swings will carry powerful shots outside the lines.

Taking aggressive over-hitting out of the equation, the FXP Instinct Team places the ball reliably during match play. It especially helped players who could use its power selectively to extend rallies, keep balls deep, and generally play better defense while conserving energy.

Our play testers unanimously preferred this racquet to Head's Flexpoint 4 which earned a Tennis Magazine Editor's Choice in 2005. The slightly smaller and thinner FXP Instinct offers more maneuverability, comfort, and control. And it nearly matches the power and spin production of the more expensive (and award winning) Flexpoint 4.

For a playing style that is neutral or defensive, the FXP Instinct Team rewards those who can use its power with good judgment and some restraint. Best suited to 3.0+ players with shorter or slower swings; especially those who are ready to take a step away from the power extremes of game improvement frames to have more control.

A racquet with 2 holes?
Absolutely.  These two holes break the rules of conventional racquet design.  Head's newest technology features two precisely engineered control holes in the racquet's head.  This creates a new "Flexpoint" which cups the ball and offers players of all levels the ultimate in
