Head
Flexpoint 10 Tennis Racquet Review
Our Review
The
Head Flexpoint 10 is the most powerful
racquet available with Head’s new
Flexpoint design. Like most game
improvement racquets, it provides generous
power and easy handling. Head’s unique
Flexpoint design balances out the overall
performance of this racquet by delivering
the best feel and control you’ll find on
any game improvement frame.
That will be a distinct advantage to competitive
intermediate players seeking a more
predictable power racquet. The cupping
action of the Flexpoint design improves
precision as well as providing more
feedback to the player. Those are
qualities that can help an aggressive
power hitter push closer to their limits.
With modestly aggressive stroking, the
power and spin capability of the Flexpoint
10 gets the ball jumping. The Flexpoint
10's outstanding stability and comfort
also stand up well in an Intermediate
level slugfest.
As a game improvement racquet for beginner or
beginner-intermediates, the Flexpoint 10
falls short of the power capabilities
you’ll find in the Wilson nCode n1 and
the Prince 03 Silver, but not by much. All
three racquets offer excellent comfort and
comparable maneuverability. The
similarities of the three frames are much
stronger than the differences –
especially as perceived by beginner level
players.
For stronger players with developing strokes, the Flexpoint
10 may offer a useful advantage in feel
and control. Superior control makes this a
top choice for power-hungry hitters
looking for the biggest gun they can use
and still keep the ball in play.
