Tennis Magazine Review
SALES PITCH:
An extremely breathable shoe that’s meant to keep your foot cool in even the warmest conditions.
HOW IT TESTED:
The thin metal-mesh lining in the midfoot that runs from the outsole to the upper shows this shoe’s emphasis on ventilation. Not only is the shoe breathable, it’s designed to keep court-surface heat away from your foot with its Heat Defl ection Core. Meanwhile, the Fautex moisture-management technology in the Glaciator’s lining is made to keep your foot drier. Throw those elements together and you get the idea behind the shoe’s name. Some playtesters found that the Glaciator started out a little stiff but was otherwise comfortable. It was particularly well-received among women.
BOTTOM LINE:
A well-designed shoe with great ventilation and comfort.
The NEW Glaciator SCD is designed to keep tennis players feet cool and dry in the heat of a match. The Fautex moisture-management technology in the lining allows feet to stay drier and cooler, while the Heat Deflection Core deflects surface heat away from the foot. The DuraWrap XDE high-abrasion toe guard provides durability and breathability. These features work simultaneously to provide unsurpassed cooling and ventilation.
